Congratulations are in order for Red Rock Central sophomore Carly Hubert, who received a prestigious “Best in Site” award for her ceramic wall hanging at the MSHSL Region 3 Art Festival held in Redwood Falls on April 23rd. Carly’s artwork impressed judges and will now advance to the State Art Festival on Saturday, May 10, at the Perpich Center for the Arts in Golden Valley.
In addition, fellow RRC students Jadyn Beranek, Jorga Brown, and Khloe Reiner also earned Superior ratings for their artworks in a highly competitive field. The festival was a day filled with creativity and connection, culminating in a hands-on group workshop led by Lakeview art teacher John Sterner. Students had the opportunity to explore indigenous art forms and create their own pieces under Sterner’s guidance.
Congratulations to all the talented artists who represented RRC and made the day a memorable one!
