RRC Concert Band Selected to Perform at MN Music Educator’s Convention
| The Red Rock Central Concert Band was chosen to perform at the 2017 Minnesota Music Educators Association Midwinter Clinic. The three day convention will be held February 16-18 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Red Rock Central’s preliminary performance time is 10:30 am on Friday, February 17, 2017. In order to appear at the Minnesota Music Educators Association Midwinter Clinic bands need to complete a recorded audition of two contrasting musical selections and a paper application. The audition is open to all bands in the state with directors that are members of the Minnesota Music Educators Association. The recordings are listened to and evaluated by a panel of board members of the Minnesota Music Educators Association. Being chosen is a huge honor as only the best ensembles are chosen to perform at the Midwinter Clinic. The Red Rock Central Senior High Band is open to all students in grades 9-12 and is under the direction of Tasha Frasher. A final performance time will be available in the near future.
