The 2024 Red Rock Central Homecoming Royalty has been announced, and this year’s celebration will be especially significant. As the community prepares to move into a new school building in October, this will be the last Homecoming held in the current Red Rock Central facility. After decades of memories, traditions, and school spirit, we invite everyone to join us in making this final Homecoming a memorable one.
For this momentous occasion, the entire senior class has been honored as king and queen candidates.

The Homecoming Coronation will take place on Monday, September 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the Red Rock Central gym. No admission will be charged, and this event will mark the final coronation ceremony in the current building. We encourage the community to attend and celebrate this historic occasion one last time.
Homecoming Week Activities:
- Volleyball: The team travels to Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey on Tuesday, travels to Adrian-Ellsworth on Thursday, and finishes the week with a home game against Springfield on Friday.
- Cross Country: The team competes in Slayton on Tuesday and in Butterfield on Saturday morning.
- Football: The Homecoming football game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday in Lamberton, where Red Rock Central will take on Edgerton.
The 2024 Homecoming Royalty will be presented during halftime at the football game. After the game, the grand march and Homecoming dance will take place in the Red Rock Central gym, starting at 9:00 p.m. Admission to the dance is $5.00, with the Royalty receiving free entry.
Dress-Up Days:
The Student Council has organized themed dress-up days for the week:
- Monday: PJ/Hat and Shades Day
- Tuesday: Class Color Day*
- Wednesday: Twin/Dynamic Duo Day
- Thursday: Throwback Thursday** (7-12) / Jersey Day (PK-6)
- Friday: Falcon Spirit Day
Students will participate in various Homecoming activities, including co-ed volleyball and tug-of-war. The entire student body is invited to attend the Volleyball Game at 12:30 p.m. on Friday to cheer on their team.
Join us in celebrating this final chapter of Red Rock Central’s rich history. Let’s come together one last time to show our Falcon pride and make this Homecoming a memorable send-off!
