The Red Rock Central School District is located in the heart of Southwestern Minnesota – proudly serving students in grades PreK-12 from the communities of Lamberton, Sanborn, Storden, Jeffers and the surrounding areas in Redwood and Cottonwood counties. With an enrollment of approximately 400 students, we offer a close-knit, supportive learning environment where every students is known and valued.
Thanks to community support, a $41 million bond referendum passed in November 2021, paving the way for a brand-new, state-of-the-art PreK-12 school building. Located adjacent to our athletic fields in Lamberton, the new facility on Birch Street officially opened in October 2024, replacing the former school building. Our new school building provides modern, flexible learning spaces, a secure main entrance, cutting-edge technology, updated science labs, and dedicated areas for arts, music, and vocational programs. The design supports collaboration, innovation, and 21st-century learning, while preserving the close community feel.
Red Rock Central is more than a school – it’s the heart of our RRC community. We welcome families and area residents to get involved in the many opportunities available, from athletic and fine arts events to fundraisers and volunteer opportunities.
